What is a disconnect notice?
If you miss a monthly payment for your energy service, Vectren will send you a Disconnect Notice in the mail. You have 14 days to make your payment to avoid being shut off, or you may contact Vectren to request a Payment Arrangement or see if you qualify for Energy Assistance.

What happens if I get disconnected for non-payment?
If a Payment Arrangement is not established or fulfilled according to terms, Vectren will shut off your service and take meter readings within three days. A final bill will then be sent to you. You are responsible for all energy used until your service has been disconnected.

How do I get my service turned back on after being disconnected?
To have service reconnected, you must pay all past-due charges, a reconnect fee, which varies by state and utility service, and a security deposit. Call Vectren at 1-800-227-1376 for a quote on what you will have to pay to re-establish your energy service. You may even qualify for Energy Assistance to help with the reconnection fees.
