Workplace Diversity: In 2008, Vectren received the Evansville-Area Human Relations Commission's Workplace Diversity Award, which honors those that are leaders in developing a workplace that embraces diversity and family friendly practices.

Wellness: In 2010, the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) named Vectren one of its Well Workplace©^TM award winners. Vectren joined 50 other corporations, health care systems, public agencies and educational institutions that have met WELCOA's rigid worksite wellness criteria in order to be recognized as one of the healthiest places to work in the country. Vectren, a first-time applicant, was honored with a silver ranking for its "Energize Vectren" initiative, an extensive range of programs offered primarily to non-bargaining employees that provide resources to improve all aspects of their physical and mental health.
