Job Summary:
JOB PURPOSE:
Oversee operating activities of Company’s fleet functions. Assist with the development and implementation of fleet strategic plans. Ensure integrity of data in asset management database. Develop vendors for fleet asset purchases and up-fitting. Document work and ensure fleet policies and procedures are followed. Ensure proper disposal of fleet assets and policy/procedures are followed. Complete and ensure compliance with annual fleet vehicle licensing and registration.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for coordinating, developing and maintain, with Energy Delivery and Fleet and Fleet Manager, fleet standardization documentation and procedures. Coordinates and develops vendors for all fleet asset purchases and up-fitting to meet fleet standardization policies and procedures. Coordinates and ensures all fleet assets identified to be retired and sold are disposed of per Vectren policies and procedures. Review location and utilization of fleet assets to ensure maximum utilization. Ensure fleet documentation is properly recorded and maintained. Write, maintain, and review fleet policies and procedures to ensure Vectren’s best interests are maintained at all times. Ensure proper distribution of fleet fuel cards. Responsible for all fleet licensing and vehicle registrations. Conduct fleet site visits in the SW and SE divisions. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience
Required:
2 - 4 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred:
2-4 years of fleet experience in a corporate environment. Purchasing experience
Functional/Technical Competency Requirements
Required:
Ability to accomplish assigned job functions with little supervision. Strong organization and interpersonal skills. Ability to plan, coordinate and manage multiple work activities simultaneously. Time management skills. Demonstrated good judgment in planning, prioritizing and making decisions. Strong attention to detail. Strong disposition for customer service.
Preferred:
Proven ability to take initiative and demonstrate confidence. Skills in budget preparation and fiscal management.
