Job Summary:
To ensure policies, practices, and procedures are in place and being followed to effectively and efficiently report, reconcile, and analyze utility revenue and consumption data. In addition, the Lead Analyst is responsible for directing the efforts of and coaching the Revenue Accounting staff. The Lead Analyst must act as a change agent, fostering the creation and implementation of new or modified analytical procedures to support billing accuracy objectives. The Lead Analyst also represents Revenue Accounting on cross-functional revenue related project teams. Supports the day-to-day operation of the Revenue Accounting department in line with Vectren goals and objectives, including core values. Manages relationships between Revenue Accounting and all internal customers such as Utility Accounting, Regulatory Implementation and Analysis, Billing and Banner Technical Support. Leads the reconciliation of revenue related Oracle general ledger balance sheet account such as receivables, customer deposits and third party gas suppliers and/or service providers. Oversees all monthly analytics, including metrics, billed unit analysis and others. Oversees Banner financial testing for code changes and third party marketer activity. Encourage and engage in performance management to effectively perform the roles and responsibilities of the organization. To ensure, in cooperation with HR, that any issues are handled professionally including recruitment, deployment, training, induction, and disciplinary procedures. Ensures objectives are set for team members and progress to targets are measured, assessed, and recognized in a timely manner and a formal appraisal performed at least twice a year. To ensure that all staff receive training appropriate to their activities and roles. Ensure department staff complies with company employment policies and standards, which include but are not limited to dress, behavior, corporate security and confidentiality regulations. To ensure that any defects with the billing systems (ie reports and/or transactions) are reported to IT upon identification to ensure timely resolution. To ensure all work in Revenue Accounting is preformed according to Vectren corporate standards.

Qualifications
Education and Certifications Required: 4-year degree. Preferred: Degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, IT, or management. Experience Required: 5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role. Preferred: Supervisory experience Functional/Technical Competency Requirements Required: Proven staff management skills. Demonstrated strong leadership skills. General accounting skills. Ability to achieve under pressure. Problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to motivate others to provide a high level of customer service. Ability to manage deadlines and multiple tasks.
