With moderate supervision, the Process Improvement Analyst plans, participates in, and leads projects and activities that help the organization achieve and sustain continuous improvement initiatives. The analyst is responsible to understand business processes in select organizational areas, and continuously learn processes in other areas, to use structured process improvement and problem solving methods that will sustainably add value. The analyst works closely with staff and management to seek improvements to solve specific problems. Understand the corporate strategic plan and business unit plans to evaluate and determine improvement opportunities. Define project charters, develop implementation plans and manage projects. Proficiently use the company standard tools for project management. Perform financial and cost-benefit analyses using a variety of analytical tools and methods. Develop business cases and project plans using company standards. Assist with re-engineering processes and procedures demonstrating analytical thinking skills and creative solution planning. Work with operations, IT, supply chain, and other shared services teams to plan, prepare, and implement solutions, including all aspects necessary for change management. Develop measures, controls and other indicators for select areas of projects and procedures to ensure managerial controls are established. Assist in development of training and solution documentation. Present solutions to peers and management for review, comment, and approval, overcoming barriers and addressing concerns. Demonstrate professionalism in communications, behavior, dependability, and team work.
Education and Certifications Required: Bachelor¿s degree. Preferred: Major/Minor: engineering, business, operations research, organizational management Experience Required: 2 - 4years of business experience to include the following: business process analysis, project management, quality/improvement initiatives, financial analysis, facilitation. Preferred: Experience in utility industry. Functional/Technical Competency Required: Experience MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS Word Preferred: Experience in JMP, Minitab, or other statistical analysis software
