The easiest way to determine if natural gas is already available on your street
is to ask your neighbors. Once gas service is verified, we’ll follow the steps
below.
Scenario 1:
If there is a natural gas main near your home, an underground service line will need to be installed to your home as well as a gas meter.
Scenario 2:
Your home may have an inactive gas line without a meter. In this case, Vectren
need to install a meter.
The Service Agreement
In order for Vectren to recognize your commitment, you must be willing to:
1) Let us know which appliances you will be converting; and
2) Commit to begin using natural gas within 120 days from the date the service is
installed. This commitment confirms that you are willing to pay for the installation of
the service line IF YOU DO NOT convert to natural gas within the 120-day time frame.
