Payment Arrangements
What is a Payment Arrangement?
Vectren wants to work with you to keep your service from being disconnected. For this reason, special payment arrangements can be granted for customers who qualify. If you’re having difficulty paying your bill in full, you can request a payment arrangement to fulfill your obligation over an extended period of time.
How do I participate?
Select Billing and Payment Options from the left navigation menu. Scroll through the list and select Payment Arrangement.
How will I know if I’ve been approved for a Payment Arrangement?
You will know you’ve been approved once you click "Accept" on the "Confirm Number of Bi-Weekly Installments" page and the "Thank you" page appears. The specifics of the payment arrangement will be listed along with a message that says "Thank you, we have received your request for a Payment Arrangement!" We suggest you print this page for your records.
What if I fail to meet the due date for my Payment Arrangement?
To keep your payment arrangement current, you must pay your bi-weekly installments by the due dates displayed on your monthly Vectren bill. In addition, you must pay the current charges on your monthly Vectren bill by the due date provided on that bill. Failure to meet both requirements will automatically break the arrangement and you will be required to pay the entire account balance immediately to avoid service disconnection.
Will I still receive a bill through the mail?
Yes. Your next bill will arrive around the same time as the previous month. All payment arrangement installments and due dates will be displayed on your monthly Vectren bill. Failure to meet both requirements will automatically break the arrangement and you will be required to pay the entire account balance immediately to avoid service disconnection.
