What is a Payment Extension?
Vectren wants to work with you to keep your service from being disconnected. For this reason, special one-time payment extensions can be granted for customers who qualify. If you need to extend the due date on your current monthly bill, a payment extension may be the right option for you. However, once an extension is granted, the extension is not permanent. Your due date will return to the original date listed on your next bill.

How do I participate?
Select Billing and Payment Options from the left navigation menu. Scroll through the list and select Payment Extension.

How will I know if I’ve been approved for a Payment Extension?
You will know you’ve been approved once you click “Accept” on the “Confirm Payment Extension” page and the “Thank you” page appears. The specifics of the payment extension will be listed along with a message that says “Thank you, we have received your request for a Payment Extension!” We suggest you print this page for your records.

Will I still receive a bill through the mail?
Yes. Your next bill will arrive around the same time as the previous month. Your due date will return to the original date listed on your next bill.
