
Vectren Corporation, headquartered in Evansville, Indiana, is an energy and applied technology
holding company with approximately $4 billion in assets. Approximately 75% of Vectren's earnings mix is derived from utility operations
with the other 25% from non-regulated businesses .
Vectren's energy delivery subsidiaries provide gas and/or electricity to nearly
one million customers in adjoining service territories that cover nearly two-thirds of Indiana
and west central Ohio. Vectren's gas distribution group provides gas to over 990,000 customers while the electric distribution group
services over 140,000 customers. Vectren is also a low-cost provider of wholesale power in southwestern Indiana. Installed
generating capacity is 1,301 MWs with total capacity at 1,488 MWs and a targeted reserve margin of 15% or higher.
Vectren’s non-regulated sub-sidiaries and affiliates currently offer energy-related products and services to customers
throughout the midwest and southwest. These include energy marketing and related services; coal production and sales; and energy infrastructure services.
Vectren expects to grow earnings 5% or more on average over the next five years through average annual regulated
earnings growth of 3 1/2 to 4% and non-regulated earnings growth of 10% and above. Dividends paid to shareholders have increased
annually for 47 consecutive years and are projected to grow between 3 to 3 1/2% annually with targeted payout ratios of 55 to 65%
of consolidated operations.
