Apply For Funding


Each year, we fund hundreds of organizations that impact our customers and the communities in which we all live and work. We receive and evaluate thousands of proposals, so while many opportunities are aligned to our areas of focus, we are only able to fund a small percentage of the total number received.

For your convenience, we have developed an online proposal tool to reduce submission and response times. The Foundation does not accept requests or proposals by mail, fax, email or phone.

General Funding Requirements

The documents and information you will need to complete your submission are:
  • Federal Employee Identification Number (EIN) for your organization
  • A copy of your organization's IRS Letter of Determination
  • A copy of your current budget for the project, program, activity or event
  • A listing of the members of your Board of Directors
  • Any other supplementary materials that describe your organization or support your proposal

Before You Apply

  1. Review the guidelines. Review the Contribution Guidelines and ensure you are eligible for Vectren Foundation funding.
  2. Gather all required documentation. Before you start the application, ensure you have these required documents:
