Note: the information contained on this page applies to gas suppliers in our "Indiana (North)" region, which includes all Indiana counties servied by Vectren other than Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick counties. Select another option

Through Vectren's Gas Transportation Service, Vectren-approved pool operators in our Indiana (North) territory shall deliver gas supplies needed to satisfy the usage requirements of pool customers in accordance with the applicable program guidelines and rate schedules. Policies & procedures

  • Non-residential customers with annual usage greater than or equal to 50,000 therms may participate (see Rate 245, Rate 260 and Rate 270). A customer that returns to general sales from transport rate must remain on general sales for no less than 12 months.
  • Customer are responsible for obtaining an agreement with the gas transportation supplier and are subject to the nomination and balancing provisions in Appendix E of tariff.
  • Pooling Service is described in Rate 280 of tariff. Pooling Service is an optional service applicable to any Gas Supplier and any Transportation Customer under an eligible rate that designates a Pool Operator to manage its gas supply as part of an aggregated Customer Pool.

Nominations
Nominations must be entered by 11:30 AM CST on the Vectren Extranet prior to gas day. Nominations for Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays must be entered on the preceding Friday at or before 11:30 CST. A percentage of gas quantities received by Company shall be retained by Company to compensate for unaccounted for gas as described in Appendix F of the tariff. When submitting an intraday nomination, change the status from timely to other.

City gate allocations
Deliveries will need to be scheduled within the allotted percentages posted on the Marketer Extranet. New city gate allocations are posted each year, typically in late September, for the upcoming 12 months of November through October. Alternate plans
All Alternate Delivery Plans must be sent to alternateplan@vectren.com by the 15th of the month. Download the Alternate Plans Request document and the Alternate Plans Approval Guidelines for more information.

Account drop
Marketers must notify gtoperations@vectren.com of any customer drops at least 10 business days prior to the end of the month.

Policies & procedures

  • This Rate is available for any Educational Institution and Government Entity whose annual usage is less than 50,000 therms (see Rate 225 for additional information).
  • A School/Government Transportation Service Customer must become a member of a Pool as described in the provisions of Rate 285 where a School/Government Supplier will be responsible for managing the Pool's gas supply.

DDQ compliance
School/Government Supplier will need to deliver the daily demand quantity as prescribed daily by Vectren on its Marketer Extranet.

By 10:00 a.m. (CST) Company will post on its Marketer Extranet, School/Government Suppliers DDQ by Pool for the gas day beginning 9:00 CST the following day and will be posted Friday morning for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. See Rate 285 for related DDQ non-compliance penalties. Appendix J of the tariff describes Nomination and Balancing for School/Government Pools.
